The last hope is that Capcom try to make easy money and launch a game of the movie.
The horror games are out of fashion and only Resident Evil sells well.

I think they should sell the rights to somone better suited to make that kind of game.

Indeed. Besides, they can just release a Haunting Ground 2 if they sold the license.
It's been 4 years since the last game. If Capcom plans on retaining the license, then they should do something with it. I'm sure they're competent enough to realize that the CT series has a huge cult following that desires another game in the series.

PS3, bar-none. Even though the system is experiencing a ton of cruel setbacks, it would be better for them to release a game on the PS3 than to release it on a system unloved by Japanese gamers, the 360 (given that the CT series DID amass their greatest fanbase in Japan).
It's not like the PS3's already dead. It's still a console, it's still alive, and there's no reason not to produce games for it.

The 360 really does have a Japanese fanbase, though not as big as the PS3. I have a lot of friends who are from Japan on Xbox Live, so I can attest to this.
And besides, as of right now the PS3 is unworkable (in my honest opinion)...it's better to release it for the 360, which is better known.
But I see what you're saying. Maybe a double-release? Or maybe even a triple release (one for 360, one for PS3, and for Wii)?

oh, that's really hard and expensive though, and I don't thinkt hat capcom wants to put so much time and money into something that would need that much work. they'd have to listen to fans closely as well as start the series a new face cause although we all know that CT3 was good, it just wasn't the same clock tower. so I dunno what to say... and you are right, ps3 isn't dead. just to expensive in my eyes...:)for now atleast, cause it does have the power to destroy the earth apparently:)

Hmm... perhaps the wisest move for Capcom would be to release it on both the Xbox 360 and PS3 consoles. They'd release it as such so that it'd maximize sales. No doubt they'd release it on both and not one singular console, just look at RE5 and Devil May Cry 4, which are both on the said consoles. As for the Wii... I honestly don't think they'd release CT4 on the Wii, since the system is Nintendo and still carries a "family-friendly" aura to it. Perhaps if Nintendo authorized a release of the original Clock Tower on the Virtual Console, then CT4 on the Wii could happen. But of course, all this speculation won't matter unless Capcom makes a freakin' announcement that they'll make CT4.

As a clock Tower fan I'm quite dissapointed, but in fact the wii would be an awesome consle to have it, of course, with all the old point and clicking ;D, with some new things as the ability to shoot, use knives, etc, in fact I actually made an idea of how the game would be played This should be a great control configuration for my idea:
A: Tap for run, examine, open, use, context sensitive B: Shoot (if gun is equipped), throw white weapon 1: Reload if gun is equipped 2: Enter Precise Aim Mode (If gun is equipped), Enter Swing Mode (If white weapon is equipped) - and + buttons: change iventory item Wii Mote: Move cursor, swing into any direction in knife mode to attack, move red dot in Precise Aim mode
It would only require 1 Wii Mote, or 2 for Co-Op

Do not even go there! It's bad enough what systems they're putting games on these days-we don't need Clock Tower going in that direction too!!!;-;

That idea sucks. If I wanted to shoot I'd play RE. This is CT, where the greatness is you can't defend yourself like that. Just never let me see point and click again.
Well, I sure they won't make future CT like that.

The point-and-click gameplay method is classic and works best for this series. Have you even TRIED the original, point-and-click Clock Tower?
