What game are you talking about? ; And that's got nothing to do with this topic, so please take it over to the Video Games section.

Parasite Eve, it began as a japanese fictional novel and then they made the ps game and they translated the game into english but not the actual novel, making thousands of people fustrated. They made a movie (a prequel to the game) which we mentioned in this topic. Then a member mentioned about translating the novel to english, but I said they've already translated it into english; Then I added on, I heard that the second ending in the ps game was the ending in the novel, so i asked if this was true or not.
Sorry for getting out of topic, heheh... this is how my usual conversations go, so I really have to get the hang of this stay in topic thing; it's really hard for me! I have this bad habbit, this URGE...hehhehehehehehehehhehehehehehhehehehhehehhehheehe

Silent Hill believe it or not. I just really like Silent Hill, and thought that the movie turned out pretty good, especially considering the RE movies (MY opinion). Also, I liked the sequels to Evil Dead, just because they were comedies. ;D

I'm surprised no one's mentioned films by Dario Argento, since his flick, Phenomena, is purported to be the inspiration for The First Fear. The hero of the game, Jennifer, also looks suspiciously like Phenomena's protag, Jennifer Connelly. Some of my favorite horror/supernatural flicks: - Peeping Tom, by Michael Powell
- Kill, Baby . . . Kill!, by Mario Bava
- Suspiria, by Dario Argento
- Les Yeux Sans Visage, by Georges Franju (Jean Cocteau's favorite horror film)
- Blood and Black Lace, by Bava
- The Innocents, by Jack Clayton (based on Turn of the Screw; screenplay by William Archibald and Truman Capote!)
- Funny Games, by Michael Haneke
- Ôdishon, by Takashi Miike (IMO, the best-written film he's made)
- Peter Chan's "Going Home," from Three
- Cronos, by Guillermo del Toro
- Dumplings, the uncut version, by Fruit Chan
- (mostly for its use of dissonant classical music): Kubrick's version of The Shining
- The Stendhal Syndrome, by Argento
- Lady Vengeance, by Chanwook Park
- A Tale of Two Sisters, by Kim Ji-Woon
- Freaks, by Tod Browning
- Cure, by Kiyoshi Kurosawa
- Nosferatu, by F.W. Murnau
- Onibaba, by Kaneto Shindô
- Profundo Rosso, by Argento
- Thesis, by Alejandro Amenabar
- The Beyond, by Lucio Fulci
- Raising Cain, by Brian De Palma (really a comic homage to Peeping Tom)
- Dead Ringers, by David Cronenberg
- La Setta, by Michele Soavi
- Dominion (the only decent sequel to The Exorcist), directed by Paul Schrader (author of Taxi Driver), written by William Wisher and novelist Caleb Carr, and starring Stellan Skarsgård
- The Descent, by Neil Marshall (flawed but ambitious and uncompromising)
I'm curious to see Bug, since it was directed by William Friedkin and the trailer looks more disquieting than gleefully icky. I tire of insect horror that tries to be disgusting. Silent Hill had serious flaws (especially in the dialog, and especially toward the end), but the atmosphere, music and creatures were really satisfying. Roger Avary and Christophe Gans deserve props for preserving those aspects of the games, and for representing game space so well that my girlfriend, who had never owned a console before, felt compelled to buy a PS2 the day after watching the film.

Also: Thanks, mrbates and everyone else, for mentioning Parasite Eve. I'd never heard of the novel, the game or the film; because of your discussion, I'm about to look for all three.

Black Christmas! You`d have to be pretty hardcore not to cringe when the killer makes flesh cookies out of his mother then downs them with milk...

The Devil's Rejects just because I love the killers so much. But Hostel and the Hills have eyes are great too along with House of 1000 corpses. Any movie that makes me like the bad guy is great.

I watched Bride of chucky! YAY! Um wait no...not scary. awww.
Apparently after the failure of the 3rd movie the director just went out all crazy and made a parody of his (and a few others) movie.
