I just wanted to hear some other perspectives about this movie. I realize we all are not feeling so positive about it's release, it may be a little more to it then that for most, I know it is for me.
Quite frankley the timing of this movie is puzzling to me. I mean The clock tower series started over 10 years ago and ended un officially ( In my opinion Haunting ground is the 4th clock tower game) 3 years ago and as much as it pains me to say, well.... bombed. So why is this movie coming out now?
And to add further insult they dont even use the original concept to which the series was based around. Scissorman. They could easily call this movie by another name and know one would know it had any connection to the clock tower games. They could have done the same with the actual game Clock tower 3 as well which leads me to further speculation that Haunting ground is in fact clock tower 4.
All these things taken to consideration I dont know how to feel about this movie.

I think it could be coming out to basically try and save the franchise, im looking forward to the trailer to see what the movie will be like and what Scissorman will look like, even if it is bad... We might get another CT game outa it!

I'm a bit worried about the movie, but I'll see it and own it in any case (that includes the normal and special editions...>.<), though I'm not sure if I'll LIKE it or not. If the Spanish site was true, then at least Jennifer is going to be in it, though it'll focus more on the CT3 storyline than the CT1.
But this puzzles me. Then again, I'm not too much of a fan of CT3 (as I've probably mentioned many times before), and I'm one of those who didn't really think that the CT3 story was all that great (it connected the CT games, but still...it just felt weird, especially with the whole "I-hide-then-have-magic-powers-once-I-go-to-a-wide-area-and-I-smite-you-with-my-Pixie-Bow-of-British-Doom" thing), and it felt too 'magical girl' like to make a good story...though I wouldn't have minded it as much if they took out the Rooder thing. Clock Tower 1, if they extended it and added more on the cultist angle and perhaps fleshed out the main players as characters and not cardboard cutouts (Jennifer didn't start to get a distinct personality until 2), would probably make a better movie...
Though I'm just going to hold my breath and wait.

Thats brings up another point . Do we even have any official word on this movie? All Ive read so far is a bunch of hear say and speculation from websites. There is no bit of information set in stone about this film at all other then there is a film coming out. How relaible is the spanish web site that the " new" plot was revealed on
Which very well may not be true either. I know it may sound far fetched but think about it. What real news do we have on this film actually being created Bloody-disgusting.com creature-corner and IMDB. Creature corner and bloody disgusting have been known to steal news scoops from one another.
? One bad or fake bit of news taken by one site will end up on both. And IMDB is NOTORIOUS for reporting rediculously false news storys.

I don't quite understand how they'd mix the two, didn't they take place in different times? Also there were two different type of scissormen (I seriously hope they use bobby and not that other... guy...)
I also hope they do a realistic one, and not the rooder magic angle

Well, regardless if its going to be good or bad, I'll see it. Though Im kinda thinking its going to be like the Silent Hill movie. In my own opinion, the storyline in the game was WAY better. The story was kinda lame but the CGI was really cool. Overall it was a decent movie. I didnt love it, and I didnt hate it.
The Clock Tower movie might be kinda interesting. It would be cool to see Scissorman on the big screen. Though I wouldnt hold my breath that its the same one from CTFF or CT2. We'll just have to wait and see.

There has been talk of a fifth game in the CT series-supposedly a direct sequel to the new one. This could be why the movie is being released and centered around the new games plot. Also, remember that the original game shared many similiarities with a movie, so making it into one could raise trouble.
As for the movie itself...I can't see them portraying the Scissortwins and Dennis correctly. Plus, May's death scene will probably either be altered, changed or removed in some way.

As long as Uwe Boll, Roland Emmerich and Michael Bay do not touch Clock Tower, things will be fine.

Well from what i've gathered:
* Jennifer from ff is gonna be in the movie.
* They're gonna follow ct3 storyline
* it may suck (probability 75%)
Well, I heard tha the storyline was that a young woman (they said woman so the main character i think is going to be 18-20's) recieved a phone call from her mother, telling her not to go home... she does and discovers supernatural secrets of her family.
...sounds kind of sucky when put in words. I bet this 'Young woman' is jennifer. Or rather a totally new character who has the same name, just to get fans calm.
*sigh* for once, I'd like movi makers to go to fan sites and READ what fans have to say...I know, i know, bugets, and time, the film reel and all that stuff... but c'mon war of the worlds was a long movie! CT3 only has c 5 hrs of gameplay! and ff only took me c 4 min! surely they can cram up all our ideas at least into a 4hr movie or at most an 8hr movie! it can have 2 parts! like kill bill!
I think directors who try to make big cinema game based movies try very hard on cinematography but NEVER really think about how the STORYLINEs can satisfy both fans and fans-to-be (and i stress FANS-TO-BE)...
oh well, i just hope that it won't be as bad as i think it would be.

Well, mixed, defiently comes to mind. Partially, I'm happy because it is based on CT3, because if they screwed it up, at least it wouldn't give the scissorman a bad name, you know. On the other hand, I was hoping that it would be based around Dan or Bobby or Both, because they are far more interesting than ANYONE from CT3, then again, since the movie will most likely suck, at least it will only hurt CT3...possibly the series as well, fudge, either way I think were in trouble.

Im just kinda hoping that Scissorman is the real deal and not the goofy one from CT3.
