*Waring: May contain spoilers for The First Fear and Clock Tower*
There are two things about Clock Tower(US) that don't make such sense to me.
1. We know that Scissorman is Edward who is actually Dan Barrows, but Dan was also that "thing" in First Fear. So how did he go from that to being a normal looking kid in Clock Tower?
2. The Barrows mansion in The First Fear and in Clock Tower are supposed to be the same building, right? So why does one look like a mansion while the other looks like a castle?
So are there any kind of explainations for these things, or should I just assume that they're that way because the Clock Tower game designers wanted it that way and it shouldn't be questioned? Anybody have a theory at least?

I heard that Dan came back in a different form
and that they are both supposed to look alike but if Jennifer was in the original mansion and it wasn't in England, it was probably changed so people wouldn't start snooping around

Moved to CT FAQS and spoiler tags added. As for your questions, here you go:
1. No one knows how, but some think that the fire caused by the explosion melted away his demon exterior
2. The building at the end of Clock Tower is NOT the Barrows Mansion-Helen and co had already learned all they could from there after the original series of murders. That place is the Barrows CASTLE. It is where the Barrows family originated from and is in England. At some point, they immigrated to Norway and the mansion.

I've played "The First Fear" on PSX, which has the 'official' explanation for the Edward/Dan thing.
Basically, you go through beating the game as normal, and then you beat Dan, and when you leave the room, you see a child come up from out of the demon slime on the ground, and that's it.
So Syberia's explanation is in fact the 'official' explanation for Dan's switch, though it actually explains it thoroughly in the Drama CD I think...though I haven't really paid enough attention to what Edward was saying in the last track to really know HOW it happened.
Sorry...^^()

Drama CDs are roughly just cds of the game characters acting out a scene, but only vocally.
