I finally forced myself to beat this game. Few things were given a proper explanation, and the villians' actions generally make no sense, with the exception of the first two. Mainly, Ricardo. So, he wants to use Fiona and her Azoth to be reborn or whatever? Then, why not play nice from the very beginning? I mean, you want the girl to stay and do what you want, might help to be nice and give a good explanation. But they take her clothes right upon capture and lock her in some tiny box in a butcher-like room. Then, he does nothing while the servants are trying to kill her and lets her wander around a castle full of deadly traps. And then he just expects her to go with him, and when she naturally refuses, he pulls out a gun and starts chasing her.>_>;
It's like he really didn't want to make it easy on himself or get her alive.

I agree with you. I don't think he was that smart. But considering Riccardo was raised to have generally no people skills he wouldn't see the point in playing nice.

I'm not so sure, since he does act more polite towards her when they first meet. And there is still a large difference between not being friendly and risking her life.
