Okay, I'll be honest: I've never played this game. Nor have I ever seen a copy in action (as in, not from the internet, but the game being played from an actual system). I just wanna ask around and know how you people got your copies (doesn't matter how you got it as long as you've played it) so maybe I can get some idea on how to get mine.
BTW, eBay is a great suggestion but I live in another country and still am 17 so I can't really get anything from there.
Thanks a million!

I got mine from GameStop both times for the English version, and the Japanese version I got off of Ebay.
If you want the Japanese version you could go to an anime Con or something and they might have it at an import booth or something...

Hmm... an anime con... I'll try that, thanks . But what's GameStop? Is it a chain of videogame stores or an online store?

It is a chain of video game stores.

These days, it would probably be easier to find it on ebay. But be careful not to get cheated!

I got mine on eBay but was careful to underbid in several auctions over time, factor in shipping, ask questions, buy only from a seller who had multiple high ratings and not buy a "very good" or "near mint" copy out of impatience. I lost a lot of auctions in order to buy CT mint for a reasonable price.
I haven't seen any of the CT games in any New York store (Game Stop included).
The best thing I've found in a store recently is a sealed copy of Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne for $30. It wasn't Game Stop; it was a small one-off store in Brooklyn. Do a search and you'll see how much Nocturne goes for of late.

When I got my first Clock Tower games, I didn't even know what Ebay WAS, and my parents were certainly unwilling for me to get the games over the internet. I had to wait until I was 20 with my own paycheck before I had a chance to get things online.
Holy COW--SMT: Notcurne for $30?! I bought SMT 2 and SMT: If... (as well as the Japanese-only Persona 2: Innocent Sin) at a recent con, and I've been trying to find that game. I'll try to see if I can find it online though. But wow...I'm envious. (/end off-topic) xD

Too bad that was the last copy and the owner says he can't get any more.[/OT]

I got mine from GameStop both times for the English version. . . . I'd given up on GameStop until I found an unscratched copy of CT3 in a pristine case for under $10 a few months ago (I forget the exact price -- GS's system can seem so arbitrary!). I own a new copy already, but I couldn't pass on an extra copy for that little. The other find: A copy of SMT: Digital Devil Saga 1, complete with soundtrack and in the double case for $39. The game had few scratches and the soundtrack disc was immaculate. [OT]It's been quite some time, but I'd love to know why my last post needed editing. If anyone cares to PM me I'd be grateful. Criticism doesn't have to be pejorative; sometimes it can be helpful.[/OT]

It's around 2-3 years late, but I finally, FINALLY played this game! I decided to just take advantage of my modchipped PS and burned the disc instead of waiting hopelessly for a copy to turn up in places I go to. It's a bad thing but at least I finally got to play this game! XD

I got mine years ago at EB Games (it was still Electronics Boutique back then).
