Ok, I think that Alyssa as well as Dennis died in the game?, because, they both fall (specially Dennis) from the huge Clock Tower (anyone would die in that situation), and after that, they both appear in a very beautiful and light park (like the paradise/eden/sky).

Yes and no. Maybe their fall trapped them in another world and the sequel will have them trying to escape it? If I had to guess, I'd say that both survived and ended up where Alyssa's house used to be(Where the heck is she gonna live?), and were protected from the fall somehow. In Alyssa's case, most likely because of the necklace or her mother. As for Dennis, who knows. He might have landed or managed to grab ahold of something.

Capcom is notorius for having MANY plot holes in their games. "Hmmm...So wait, I'm rescuing the souls of victims? Is this another time period? Then where are the people? Why would there be a piano concert during an air raid? AAAAAAAA!!!!!! " *Falls into deep plot hole.*
Questions: I don't understand, when she goes back to the past, is she... A. In the REAL past, like are the murders occuring as she is witnesing them? (The how come she rescues the spirits?) B. In a "memory" of the past? Then how come she is able to rescue the souls and defeat the Subordinates? C. Another dimension, i.e. Purgatory? If so, thats a very Silent Hill concept.
Opinions on ending: At first, I thought they DID die, but then I figured, if Alyssa was in heaven, then why wasn't her mom (Who we KNOW died beforehand) there with her? Was the Clock Tower in another dimension? Maybe defeating Lord Barrows was a "deus ex machina" that magically restored everything to happyland?

Yes, I also thought her mother should be with her in case she died. I think she was in the real past.
Wow, nobody said I was crazy and idiot... Yet.

I was never sure about her mother. I know the statue got smased, but with how it got put back together, it had never seemed really clear.

Im pretty sure because Burroughs was defeated Alyssa and Dennis were put back into the real world where Alyssa prob. lives with Dennis now, cause why would she be happy if she went through all that just to die?

Then again, if you look at the back cover of the soundtrack, one of the last two tracks is called "Alyssa's Death"...

Really???, I've been wanting to get the sountrack... Does it include Chopin's 'Fantasie Improptu' (the song that May plays) And maybe she's happy just because she defeated LB.

It's a great song. I'll probably put it in the 'Documents' section of one of the next versions of my program

Well the Dark Man wouldn't want to kill her because then he'd be destroying the whole point of doing it in the first place. No Alyssa, no immortality. ;D
