I think the bright tones and the grassy field were more of a representation of peace and tranquility than of the afterlife. I'm inclined to believe they were meant to be alive at the end.

Anyway wouldn't Alyssa's Mother be there if she was in the afterlife?

Guess, it all happened in some kind of the "otherworld" - and after beating the Lord Barrows's "Entity", the main chars are back into reality. Such ending is somewhat like "Alice in Wonderland" or "Silent Hill4", I suppose. It suggest a bit of mystery and also can lead the player to believe that it all was just a dream or vision...

That's how I see it. Then again, maybe it was a just an uber happy ending for all I know.

If there's gonna be a direct sequel to ct3, wouldn't Alyssa need to be alive? If the only way to perserve the rooder blood is to give birth to a baby girl in their teens and early twenties then do you think Alyssa and dennis...? Well, at least we'll have an idea for the new character!

Also when the Clock Tower was formed The Dark Man threw her down the CT and she managed to live! That's because he used magic to transport her to another time period as she fell.

Not the one from CT3, the other one.
