Well, most CT fans despised the 3rd game I liked it.I was hoping the movie would stick true to the material but...well...its not. Mayhem project has updated their website and in the description for the Clock Tower movie it is apparent they are meshing the 3rd and first CTs together.ALYSSA HAS A SISTER FOR CRYING OUTLOUD! ugh! Heres direct quote (I warn ya it ain`t pretty): Based on the popular "Clock Tower" videogame franchise from Capcom ("Resident Evil," "Street Fighter"). Upon receiving a late night call, from the birth mother she doesn't remember, an Ivy League-bound high schooler seeks out her childhood home. On arrival she and her sister confront a timeless horror in the form of an entity known only as Scissor Man. While this project lies firmly in the tradition of contemporary 'survival horror,' it will also introduce a unique and terrifying antagonist to cinema audiences today. "Clock Tower," adapted by screenwriter Jake Wade Wall ("When A Stranger Calls"), has Jorge Olguin ("Sangre Eterna") set to direct.
*sighs* Oh what a turd this movie will be!

I do not know what to think anymore. The way they are altering the story is not good. I do not mind Alyssa having a sister, but changing the boarding school thing and also making her not know her mother is bad. On the otherhand, the true Scissorman would be great, but we all know they could never do that right. One of the best things about the Scissorman was his true identity, and you know they will make it something stupid.

I sent hatemail begging them to stick true to the material and that they are making a grave mistake.

It will get ignored. They're just going to continue the plan of making another bad movie. -_-

well - who said it was going to be based solely on clock tower 3? remember there was also an alyssa in clock tower 2 it sounds to me like they're just loosely basing it on the clock tower series, new story, new characters... as you know all of the video games had a form of scissorman! (so - it's not necessarly going to be bobby or dan.) If you think about it - it'd be hard to base it on one of the games, and have it concidered a 'horror' movie especially clock tower 3, the holy water and magical bow... I personally don't think that'd be very 'scary' imagine if Jamie Lee Curtis had a magical weapon to fend off Mike Myers... it'd be like John Carpenter meets Walt Disney. ** Scissorman has Alyssa cornered in an room, she has not chance of escape, no windows, only one door which he's blocking... she summons all of her strenth and calls out to - the three fairy god mothers from sleeping beauty, who come out of no where and uttering the magical words, turn Scissorman's scissors into two giant roses. ** ;D

I think it isn't a big surprise that they chose a 3rd game's story for the film (since Capcom wants to advertise their own game), and also altering the story and mixing different stories together already became a common thing when making the movie based on game (think of Silent Hill, Resident Evil, SIREN movie adaptations). Of course, i don't want to see all this mahou-shoujo stuff in the movie (and i don't want to people who didn't play the original games think of the Clock Tower series as of some kind of Magical Girl game after seeing the film), but IMHO it would be nice to see a scissorman ^__^ Also, in my opinion, the film itself is a good thing. It means that Capcom didn't forgot about CT series and *maybe* some day we'll see a next CT game title.
