Hi, new user here. =P
Uhmm, yeah. Well I played Clock Tower many a time on my ZSNES and I've always assumed that it was compatible with the SNES mouse attachment-- I mean, c'mon, this is like the only "point and click" game on the SNES, why wouldn't it be?
But, much to my dismay, this morning when I tried playing it using the SNES mouse... it didn't work. >__>; So I went to Wiki and checked the list of games for the SNES mouse and, wouldn't you know it, Clock Tower is NOT one of them.
Seriously, WTF where the developers thinking? It would have made the game so much easier to play. Now to the point of this thread...
I don't know ANYTHING about hacking/modifying ROMs. Nothing at all. So I'm not sure if this is even possible... however, is there a way that a talented someone could, like, make it that you could control the cursor with the SNES mouse? Sorry if this is a stupid question. ^^;

I believe it is compatible with the mouse for Super Famicom...if there is one...The two systems actually look completely different.

Super Famicom? But... isn't that just the Japanese version of the SNES? >.> I don't see how that would matter since I'm using the Japanese ROM of the game and the ZSNES emulator. I'm not exactly sure what you mean. ^^; Uhmm, the only reason I asked this question was 'cause I've been playing Wonder Project J a lot and it's a point and click game that actually utilizes the SNES/SF mouse.
I just wanted to know if it would be possible through hacking, or whatever, to make it compatible with the SNES/SF mouse. And wasn't there a PC version of this game devloped? Would that version use a friggin' mouse? o__o; It seems like this game was MADE to be used with a mouse.
And, in case anyone was interested, here's the list of all the SNES games that you can play it with (stolen from Wiki):
* Advanced Dungeons and Dragons: Eye of the Beholder * Acme Animation Factory * Arkanoid: Doh It Again * Civilization * Cameltry (called On The Ball in North America) * Cannon Fodder * Fun and Games * Jurassic Park * King Arthur's World * Lamborghini American Challenge * Lemmings 2: The Tribes * Mario and Wario (Japan-Only) * Mario Paint * Mario's Early Years - Preschool Fun! * Might and Magic III * Nobunaga's Ambition * Operation Thunderbolt * Shien's Revenge * SimAnt * Snoopy Concert * Super Caesars Palace * Super Game Boy * Super Noah's Ark 3D * Super Solitaire * Terminator 2: The Arcade Game * Tin Star * Troddlers * Utopia * Vegas Stakes * Wonder Project J

Like I said, they are very different systems in appearance. I'm not all that sure how ROMS work, but don't you play them on the pc?

Blah, yes. You play ROMs on thr PC via an emulator. Heh, I don't think I'll ever get an answer to my question. I get a feeling that what I was asking was impossible anyway. Asking has just left me more confused. @_@;
But thanks alot for trying to help me ObscureNightmares. ^.^
I didn't think that I'd even get a response today-- given how dead this place seems. Love your avatar BTW (beta May >.>).

The first CT game (the SFC one) isn't compatible with the mouse at all, however, it's Playstation remake is (with the PSX mouse of course); it's kind of a shame the first edition wasn't.
