Knife-wielding psycho-child
Flaming sword of kick-ass. Too bad you don't actually get to use it.

Anyone played this game yet? It's part of Tecmo's "Deception" series which I don't really know about since my first "Deception" game was this.
It's a weird game involving setting up traps to kill enemies.

Yes, I played it, great game! I believe it's also a sequel game to the ps 1 game 'Kagero' (it was my sister's favorite) I think Trap has a few references to kagero as well...

I never knew it was part of a series. I got Tecmo's Deception, but I have not played it yet.

I like this game. It's a very unique idea and I spent quite a bit of time making trap combos. One of the only problems I see is that in the end, you would only want the most damaging trap combos, making the game a little limited.

oh, the story. You play as a princess who is framed as the murderer of your farther. You kill hunters with traps before they kill you with their weapons and magic. Oh, and ironically, you're arm is possessed by a devil; the more people you kill, the stronger the devil will be...blah,blah...to free the demon...cleche.
The first installment (kagero) you play as millenia a girl who was adopted by the blue people (I don't think I need to explain, just 'google' it) and you were trained to protect their castle and kill the people (tresspassers) with traps.

Let's just say, if clock tower did not exist, this forum would probably be called Broken Cage (I was gonna say broken 'those jaw things that people put on the ground' but I obviously don't know what it's called)
You know how Clock Tower was the pioneer in point and click horror based games. Well This series is the only game that plays out like this; plus it's probably one of the first games where you kind of play the villian ( I stress the word KIND OF)

Tecmo's deception had a lot more features than the other games...in the first game you could build your own castle, set up traps ANYWHERE (I had one room with every wall and most of the floor rigged with traps...it was lots of fun), and you could even capture bodies and make monsters with your captured victims XD
I LOVED the first deception, and I still do. I still have an old save file, and I play it all the time.
In my opinion, it still stands as the best game in the Deception series...the downside is that it does squick Christian types because of the option to resurrect the devil and all that...
