Are their any halloween fans in here? How do you guys feel about zombie directing the new halloween film? I must admit I am kind of worried. He discribed his sequal as a "re-imagining" of the series. remake! I think Rob Zombie has got some b**ls thinking he can tackle a major franchize like halloween after only 2 semi succesful ventures into the horror genre. The giddy little stupid school girl in me is looking forward to his interpretation though. Lets keep it real if he messes this one up who cares? This is the 10th entry in a line of hits and misses, who'll know?

My sister's a huge fan of Rob Zombie's, so she's really looking forward to this film.
But she did just say that the series got stale after Halloween 2...
Honestly, I don't even like the Halloween series all too much, but I'm insterested as of how Zombie will pull this off.

I think it could be good the Halloween series needs to start over, but R.Z better not cast his family and friends as the roles of Lauire, Dr. Loomis and Michael Myers

Im not surprised that they're making another one. To me it was expected. I know how they would do it (or should do it). It would be the conclusion to it all.

I just hope the Halloween series ends soon. I'm so sick of Michael Meyers...he's one of those horror characters that just...doesn't...scare me.
He's more of a laughable character, really...well, if he's not chasing me, that is.

Since she was in his other two movies (House of 1000 Corpses and The Devils Rejects), it didnt surprise me that she will be in it. But Rob Zombie doing a Halloween movie...I didnt expect that.

Rob Zombie making Halloween does make a little sense though...I just hope it's better than House of 1000 corpses and Devil's Rejects. >.<

See thats what doesnt make sence to me. why is he a good choice? What made this man decide after two mediocre attempts in the genre to decide and tackle this franchise. I mean I get it, he's a scary guy or what ever, he has a lot of horror elements in his "act" whether or not that translates well into horror MOVIES still has yet to be seen.

Im just still amazed that hes doing the film. Im sure it will be better than his other two movies because they're completely different...though he could screw it up.

Halloween 1 and 2 were pretty much the story in whole...Halloween 3 didn't feature Myers and was actually a decent horror film about a group of witches....it bombed at the cinemas though because of the lack of the iconic Michael Myers.
This sequel could be good...or completely horrible...either or....but either way, horror as a film genre is still in a weak state.
*EDIT...if RZ puts Dr. Loomis in, that makes it automatically non-canon in the storyline, watch Halloween 2 to find out. Also...NO ONE...and I MEAN NO ONE can replace Donald Plesance as Loomis!
