An horror anime with cute exterior. A twisting plotline and slightly insane characters make this an anime all CT fans should check out. Here is a link to the first episode: www.youtube.com/watch?v=8zVNRSaNEawCheck out that first scene and tell me you don't want to keep watching.

I watched the first episode a few days ago, and I plan on watching more. I've heard that some scenes are REALLY graphic, though.

Ah, yes. Higurashi no Naku Koro ni.
I actually have the game on my computer...the second one, anyway. I've also seen about half of the anime, and I must say that it's an awesome series (My Japanese friends go WTF everytime I mention that I'm a fan of that game/anime).

I'd like to become a fan of the game, but it's not available in english, so...

There's actually a group working on translating it...though it's from Japanese to Spanish, I believe. >.<
My sister's trying to get me to translate for her, but I can't code so making a patch or something is completely unavailable for me. ^_^()
*cries at her incompetence*

Picked up the first DVD of the series a few days ago in which I just have to say, the dubs suck. It's almost like they didn't even try. Regardless, after catching some of the ending episodes and knowing the truth behind some of the events, it's kinda funny in a morbid little way. Wouldn't mind checking out the game, but the need of a translator would prevent me from getting the most out of it.

A few chapters of the first game have been translated, as well as a few of the next-to-last one.

SUCCESS! All the Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni Kai games work on my computer (unlike the first set of games that um...aren't coded. At all. And my Daemon's Tools died so I can't encode them myself D:), so I can actually translate those!
Since I have all this other stuff to do (FMA Doujinshi, CT Drama CD, College translation stuff...), this might take a while but for now I'm trying to get the TiPS done first. Then I'll actually start translating the game as best I can.
Gah @_@ I really need to finish some stuff...@_@

The TIPS have already been translated. And for Kai, best to start with the first two, since there's already a group working on the last two. As a side note, how are you translating it? As a script? Or are you making a patch? Do you like Wild ARMS?

Someone on another forum I go to posted that too. I haven't heard anything else about it, but apparently the people there don't have any idea how they could continue it after Kai. I still need to watch the rest of the series. I'm on episode five right now.

There is actually a sequel to the series, but I've heard it's not very long.
